We will discuss in depth the components of Volume Forecasting, which are Awareness, Trial, and Repeat.

An example of calculation will be given to apply the concept. The Volume Forecasting case study discussed in this podcast is as follows:

- Target Population: 100 million people

- Awareness Level: 10% or 10 million people

- Trial Rate: 50% of those who are aware or 5 million people

- Trial Consumption: 1 unit x 5 million people = 5 million units

- Repeat Rate: 20% of those who tried or 1 million people

- Repeat Consumption: 1 unit x 2 times buying/year x 1 million people = 2 million units per year

- Total Sales Volume Forecast = Trial Consumption + Repeat Consumption = 5 million + 2 million = 7 million of unit per year
